Research into practice: Virtual exchange in language teaching and learning

چکیده

Abstract In this article, the authors reflect on ways research Virtual Exchange (VE) has had an impact language education practices and, conversely, areas in which been underexplored, misapplied or perhaps even over applied by VE practitioners formal settings. Starting from a brief historical overview of VE, text first outlines features widely accepted as key aspects pedagogical approach before considering to what extent results can be identified implementation. Principal topics covered are main aims regarding development when is applied, assessment through and intercultural competence. While article not intended comprehensive review, it provides insight into foci how these findings reaching classroom (primary, secondary university).
